Threat Level Orange, COVID-19 Cases in my Substantial Transmission County
16 Cases and 1 Death, Still an Emergency
The metrics used to define the CV emergency ensure the emergency will never end. There are ~20,000 residents in my county. In the past week, we’ve seen 16 new cases and 1 death (no doubt old and with numerous pre-existing conditions.) Doesn’t sound like much of a problem, yet the CDC still calls this “substantial transmission.”
Our hospitalizations look pretty good:
Just 4 people died “with” covid in the past 30 days:
And yet, the threat level is still elevated. Probably destined to remain that way until this changes:
Lots of Control Group members here, not a lot of virus.
